are there any adesk forum equivalents on the internet?
if so, what are the addresses?
if not, i suggest adesk do so.
i'd rather spend my money on adesk products than connect time in extended
forums.

Use a CIS navigator, Frank, and connect time will be minimal.

hi frank.
few suggestions. most folks online have an offline mailer such as WinCIM or
Tapcis which can be on for less than a minute a day on this forum and give you
full capability to read and respond to all mail in this forum. GO WINCIM or GO
TAPCIS for more info. as much as i can recommend Inet for somethings, this net
(Compuserve) remains Adesk's major channel of focus… their Inet presence is
very minimal at this point (but growing).
Autodsk does have a web page these days at http://www.autodesk.com and they
have a had an anonymous server for some time at ftp.autodesk.com. you gets
what you pay for, as you'll soon discover. 😉

Not even close. Most of the well known 3DS users are on this forum. Autodesk
has a mailing list (3dstudio@autodesk.com) and there are newsgroups
(comp.graphics.animation, comp.graphics.packages.3dstudio). The 3DS traffic on
the Internet is not at the level you get here.

With an offline reader like CSNAV and with CIS's lower (2.95/hour) rates it
isn't that expensive. If you just read messages and don't d/l that much you can
probably use this forum for $20-25/month.

The 'Technical Support/Forum' you find here isn't on line – but you can send
email to the authors of pages and they will often respond.
