#SIGGRAPH Virus

I read a thread this morning duscussing a virus present on disks purchased at SIGGRAPH (ORGANIX and Refraction). My system has been acting a little funky since I purchased DMM at SIGGRAPH. Have there been any problems reported associated with DMM distribution disks? I've run McAffee, but my copy is a bit old and may be missing anything that might be there. That aside, is LenZFX2 with Inferno (upgrade from 1.0) still scheduled to be avaliable Sept 15? Thanks.

Hi John, The Virus that was found on our Organix disks has nothing to do with DMM. The problem was our disk duplicators not Positrons. LenZFX 2 will ship in September but I'm not positive of the exact day yet. David – Digimation

I scanned the DMM disks and didn't find a virus. I did get the 1.01 upgrade. The registration is acting strange, though. I entered the code I was given over the phone, and I still get the box saying that the program is not registered and will run slow after frame 120. However, when I enter the main kxp, there is a line of text at the bottom of the screen that says it is registered to me. What up? John Hostick

John, Our registration procedure needs some work. It is likely that although the code we gave you was valid, there was a case sensitivity problem somewhere. We are working on a better procedure. Please call us for a new password. Sorry for the inconvenience. Brent

Jerome, A customer of ours thought there might have been a virus on the Dynamic Motion Module distribution disk. It turns out however that this was not the case. Brent
