I have recently purchased the complete autodesk collection and while installing
the 3D studio ran across a message that mentioned that if I was installing on a
Compaq with extended memory, to check the read-me files for special
instructions. Well I searched and searched the files and have found no info on
it, also, 3D studio will not run because it doesn't recognize the extended
memory. If anyone has any tips or ideas where I might find the information I
would appreciate it!
Thanks!
Which machine do you have? Normally, if it's an Eisa system, you simply need to
add on your Himem.sys line, /EISA.
If it's an ISA system, SP1224.exe in our forum GO CPQFORUM should resolve any
>16MB issues.
Now, if you have an older Systempro XL, or Deskpro M with 50MHZ processor
boards, you likely need a patch file we have for a conflict with the Pharlap
extender.
Need anything further just give me a jingle in the Compaq forum.
