There was fresh scent in the air, the wind bringing with it the timeless message that he must once again begin his timeless pilgrimage to the land of the disciples. Packing up his swag of scuba gear and spare hawaiin shirts he began, unawares, what was to be his most perilous and trepidous pilgrimage yet. For already the word had spread, the rumours mulling about the discontent and uprisings taking place among the followers. They had grown angry and impatient in anticipation of the new tool. Upon reaching the village he was greeted by his followers. "How do we know it is you, the big G?" came a single shout from with the crowd. Then far in the back some yelled, "Yeh, I recognise this guy. It's Rodney Rude from Australia. Tell us a dirty joke Rodney!". With arm drawn deep within his showl, he brought forth a hersheys kiss of such magnificence that many followers were quoted as having said "Gosh!" and even "My oh my!". With arm stretched forth palm open the kiss neatly cusped in his palm, he began chanting in double, since his dual pentium required instructions for two processors. With awe and trepidation the followers beheld the wonder of his power, seeing the kiss bounce and dance as if possessed with a life of it's own. Many stared intently waiting for a dropped frame or slight flicker, but there was none, for the big G had mastered the magic of real-time playback. It was then that they knew he was truely the master. With the revelation, the crowd bowed down in a wave of recognition for the master's powers. "For thee faithfull disciples I have brought thee a new tool" bellowed the big G, for his voice was mighty, though his sandals were small. "This new tool shall be called the big M". From within the crowd came a voice "You mean M like in Macintosh". "NO!" came the roar, as the big G raised his hand and sent fire and brimstone bursting forth, turning the speaker into a neat pile of sindering ash. "How dare he use such blatent heresy". The crowd was now subdued and rather anxious. A muffled voice came forth "Then you must mean M like the golden arches…MacDonalds, your great highness." Those near the speaker recoiled back in anticipation for the big G's response. "NO!" Another voice to the left of the crowd. "Well what about M for Mother Nature or Mother Terresa?". Another voice distant in the back came forth "What about M for Molasses. I am partial to a bit of molasses." Soon the entire crowd began whispering to themselves. "Maybe it's M for Madonna." "No, isn't M the new love symbol for Prince?". "Don't be a fool it is the secret code name for Bullwinkle". "Hey, if you turn the M over you get W. Remember the money was hidden under the palm trees in the shape of the W in that old 60's movie". "Mighty power rangers starts with an M." "Did you know that both Mull and Marijuana start with an M." "Maybe its one of those reversed letter thingies, like Madam Adam." By now loosing patience, the master muttered unto himself, "Damn fools, this be the fault of Microsoft, that damn DOS has slowly cretinized my followers." "OK, OK" he shouted forth, bring the crowd into silence. "It shall be called MAX!" "Ooooo" came the low audible response from the followers. "Now that is clever" said someone with a blatant cockny English accent. And so it was, the new tool was therein know as MAX. DaviD "androgynous shape changer" GouID

HA! Jack just forwarded this to me on the net (thanks again Jack). It made me laugh a LOT. Thanks for your great and continuous sense of humor. I wish I had the time to hang out in the forum with ya'll… I really miss it. Unfortunately, this M-thing is taking up every bit of energy I can manifest, and that's taking a toll on all non-M-related activities. (heck… just ask my wife) I promise that I'll be back one day, with M in hand. (things are going great, btw) Thanks again for the belly laughs… – G
