I sent the following to Wayne as an alternative to his envelope idea:
I thought a choice of several set options (the more popular ones) might be more
useful and quicker to be implemented by Newtek.
How about a series of buttons for:
Fade Up/Down ( with duration slider)
Fade To (0-100% slider)
Crossfade (with duration slider)
The user should have the ability to control left and right channels
independently.
A two band EQslider (low pass/boost, high pass/boost) in the audio control
panel might also be useful.
Also, will we ever be able to IMPORT/EXPORT audio files (.aiff, .wav, whatever)
to and from the Flyer C drive??? Looking at the file sizes, they don't appear
to be compressed. This would give us the aility to do sweetening offline and
then brought back in. If not directly import/export, could an ARexx script
provide conversion of other audio file types to whatever it is that the Flyer
uses.

I'll second your suggestions for preliminary audio features.
A 3-band EQ would be pretty minimal.

I think all of the items you request for audio features would be possible, the
question is simply at what point can they be implemented. I will pass your
comments to the product team.

Is there any advance word about Import/Export of audio to Flyer audio drives??
Any little insight you could give?? Am I trying to pry too much out of you

good questions James…. I too would be very interested in taking mac audio
files….I use SoundEdit 16… and craming them across the ethernet network we
have in our office….. face it, with only 15 frames per second resolution you
can't edit audio very well at all.
Ok….how long will it take get a response about the 15 FPS comment.
No word on that right now, but just because an item doesn't make 4.1 does not
mean you'll never see it.
