Thanks for the info, the alt-u problem continues to plague us, as the file has been correct several times here in some test-build installs, and yet the alt-u keeps creeping in to replace alt-s. We think we may have a real gremlin in our text editor here, or the file is haunted. Or somebody just likes the look on the Test chief's face when he checks and finds alt-u where he knows he put alt-s just a few minutes ago! Test has been very busy with my Compuserve pulls from last Thursday night. Apologies to you and all who are waiting for answers, I am still in the middle of my project, and we were down a couple staff so we had no one to sub for me. Just up here quickly today to let every one know it is time to call about those 9G drive updates, for Seagate owners. Chuck.

Chuck, >"It's time to call about those (G drive updates…" What about us 4G Seagate ownwers? Also, any news on the revised 9G Micropolis A/V? I just had the misfortune to peruse the Micropolis messages. It seems to be a compendium of irate customers, dying and dead drives, 5-week waiting periods for turnover, overheating drives, bad ball bearings, etc. Many say they would never go near a Microplolis drive again. Not very encouraging…

Seagate is still working on the 4 G drive firmware, and has elected not to keep 9 G drive owners waiting while they resolve those issues. We did not receive the Micropolis drives from the reseller who was testing them, and the reseller has apparently not reported any test results to Micropolis. Chuck.
