Everyone,
I am very pleased to tell you that we have collated the results of the response
to the upgrade of IM R/t, and they have far exceeded our expectations, given
the current state of the Amiga.
As a result, we are now planning the next IM R/t upgrade, most likely to become
available sometime around Christmas, although I must emphasize that date is
tenative.
ESCOM, or whatever they're calling themselves now, had planned to have new
Amigas on the market somewhere in the same time frame and we look foward to
that as well. Perhaps it will add to the longevity of the market.
I am very glad, personally, to be able to write this message. 🙂

Considering that we're not going to see an RTG Amiga in the forseeable future,
would you consider altering the Imagemaster GUI so it will run on all the
popular Amiga graphics boards that use the screen modes database?

We've done more than consider it – we have such a project about 1/2 done. We
called it v10. The v10 project was cancelled because of market factors – that
is, it's small and getting smaller – I cannot justify the programming staff it
would take to finish it.
Now, if – and this is a big if – the Amiga market rebounds, then, yes, we'd be
delighted to get v10 out there. v10 is for the Amiga what WinImages is for the
PC – same type of GUI, same type of animation-friendly tools, and some other
goodies too, so considering the response WinImages has gotten on the PC, odds
are the Amiga people would like it.
At this time, the plan for the next update for IM R/t is to add operations to
it – as we added fire an dlightning in v6, we'll be adding more capabilities
along those lines. The GUI will not change as things stand now.

Its Great to hear there will be future revs of IM/rt for the Amiga. Of coarse
the V10 project sounds really cool also.
I had IM running with a FC24 and it was quite nice and speedy, since, I have
hooked my A3000 to a 1960 monitor and unfortunately rendered my FC24 non
usable. I hopr this is just temporary.
Anyone know if its possible to use the flicker free modes available on the
A3000 and still stay wired for use with a FC24????
With IM once you've gone Hi-res/Hi-color its hard to go back to Ham or 16 color
:^(
Keep up the good work, the new FX in IM/rt 1.6 are really fun.

Ah dear, yet another half-finished Amiga project on hold. Never mind. At least
Black Belt is still with us, for a while longer at least.
