I had a simular problem a while ago.
If your short cut control keys still work
it may be that your grid snap is set bigger then
your screen. Try forcing the mouse into the pull
down menu area. If you appears up there then
adjust your snap.

Dear Gary,
I read your message about your mouse freezing in 3d studio. Are you
running Win95? because I am, and have had the same problem. I'm pretty sure its
because win95 doesnt load any mouse drivers when it goes to DOS (as you can
tell from the absent mouse in EDIT.
If you do find out, please let me know.
