#Animated Help for Max?

Jonas,
A short time ago, I saw a demo of a product called GIG 3D GO from EletroGIG.
It was running on an SGI Indy, (probably about the perf. level of a dual
Pentuim w/ a Glint based graphics card). What impressed me the most about this
product was the real time preview environment of the particle system. You could
manipulate the particle stream while the particles were moving and see the
result without rendering the final animation (this was in wireframe of course).
Do you think that 3DS Max will support features like this? Are there any
developers working on this type of preview capability? Inquiring minds want to
know. 🙂
Also, I just got Corel 6 and had a chance to play around with their Dream 3D
product. A cool feature that they have (and very useful) is 3 reference grids
forming a floor and two walls. Your model/s float in the center and the sides
of the model are projected onto the reference grids. When you move model/s
(objects) around, you do so by grabbing the side or bottom projected view. Any
other model is also displayed and you can easily orient the models "without the
need for multiple top / side view windows".
Is this a feature that 3DS Max might support now or in the future? Maybe
Corel has a copyright on this interface. I hope not. Mutiple tiled view windows
use up valuable screen space and flipping between views is a time waster also.
Any insights would be appreceated.
Thanks
