We are involved in a forensic animation and are looking for two meshs: a fire truck and dump truck. We are aware of View Points meshs but are looking for more detailed and cost effective meshs. Please reply if you have these meshes.

You realize that there's a free Viewpoint dumptruck on the World Creating Toolkit, don't you? I've used it myself in a forensic piece. Also, since you do forensic work, let me pitch our new product for forensic animators. Tired of doing animaps for skid marks? Our new product, Make Tracks, produces procedural skid marks without animaps. Take a look at our demo flic in the IPAS library. Click on the tire, click on the road, link the stand-in to the chassis, assign a color to the stand-in and enter the frames over which you want the skids. *Poof*, done. Do all the tires independently if you want, to show proper lock-up sequences. Eric Peterson Sisyphus Software/Sisyphus Graphics

Eric, I have a few questions about your IPAS for skid marks. Will it work with MAX, if not what will your upgrade policy be. What is the price of your IPAS, I think list prices are OK on the forum. Any other helpful programs? Eric, I maintain a list of forensic animators. It's in the "Index & Info" library and its called "Forlst.txt if you would like to check it out. Maybe you would like to add your name to the list? Regards……..Rick – Technical Animations

Greetings, Nothing developed for Rel 3/4 will work with MAX. Everything will have to be rewritten. Since you asked I think it's OK to tell you – Make Tracks costs $70 plus shipping, handling, and tax. Our vendors are listed in a file called 'SISYPHUS.TXT' over in Take 5/Want Ads. No, there's no 'zero' missing. We think triple digits for plug-ins is too much. We will port Make Tracks – along with our other products – to MAX as soon as we get MAX development versions. Upgrade fees will be about half the price of the Rel 3/4 version. You may be interested in our unique upgrade policy: when we port Solids Completer, Particles I, Make Tracks, Particles II, and our upcoming unannounced products to MAX, all our registered users will pay ONE upgrade fee – that being the fee for the most expensive product they own – to get MAX versions of ALL the products they own. Sound good? Watch for reviews of our products in upcoming issues of Planet Studio, 3D Artist (I hope) and 3D Design. I will d/l your list of forensic animators. Yes, please, add me to it when you next update it: Eric Peterson/Sisyphus Graphics. For now, I have a different hat on… -Eric Peterson Program Development Sisyphus Software

Eric, I will dl the text file you mentioned. You certainly have a unique upgrade policy for your users, I like what you have done there. When you dl "forlst.txt" then you will see all the different fields there are to fill in. Please keep all the headers, that way I won't have to retype them. Regards……….Rick – Technical Animations
