#help with graphics query

Can anyone tell me, a novice, whether or not I can expect to get any graphics
with my amiga 1000 (no hardrive and 4mgs)? I have figured out downloading and
decompressing files on Compuserve and am ready to tackle this next mystery. If
so, can you give me some hints of how to get started? Any special software or
utilities required?? Thanks in advance.
Yes, you can! If you have 4 Megs you should be able to display the
files in one of several graphics modes, but almost all the files in
CompuServe are in either GIF or JPEG and you need a utility that can
display such files. Comercially you can get Black Belt's Image
Master, ASDG Art Department Porfessional, Nova/GVP Image F/X among
many others. Plus fir just showing the images there are several
programs that you can download from the Amiga Arts Forum under
Graphics.
