We don't do Windows! ;-} Yes, we are making a PC version of the product, but it works in the 32-bit protected mode, using a new object-oriented microkernel we call MMOS (MultiMedia Multitasking Operating System) and designed around a new scalable, platform independent, software development technology we call "Backbone". Maybe we'll do Windows '95, if its up to the performance specifications and not a sucking blackhole of resources… OK, my own personal opinion. ;-} I've said it many times and I'll say it again, the Amiga is still the best multimedia delivery platform and I hope that it will continue to succeed, in whatever form it takes.

Something you whipped together in a week or two, no doubt. <G> Since I am now able to see firsthand the results of INFOCHANNEL 2000 in the hands of morons (the local public access people), I am really impressed by the product. I would imagine that your PC product will sell extremely well.

Jerry, >Something you whipped together in a week or two, no doubt. <G> Er, you could say that. About 18 months in the making. ;-} >Since I am now able to see firsthand the results of INFOCHANNEL 2000 in the hands of morons (the >local public access people), I am really impressed by the product. Thank you very much for the compliments. Sigh, I suppose they used every page and text wipe available and are having difficulty coming up with a consistent image. The usual growing pains. Don't worry, it should get better in the next six months. If it doesn't, YOU could do something about it. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) ;-} I suppose the PC version of Scala MultiMedia will do well. There's a lot of competition out there. At least we will be able to use our Amiga experience into the product. Certainly there are some things that PC VGA graphics can do that the Amiga cannot. However, even with the pros and cons, the Amiga is still the superior delivery platform. Regards, John Chang

"If it doesn't, YOU could do something about it. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) ;-}" Hehehehehe – you should see the disparaging report on public access my Cable Commission sub-committee authored. <G>

Jerry, >Hehehehehe – you should see the disparaging report on public access my Cable Commission >sub-committee authored. <G> Hmm, I'd like to get a copy of that report if I may. Well, this is your opportunity to exhibit your skills at multimedia and television production. Regards, John Chang

"Hmm, I'd like to get a copy of that report if I may. Well, this is your opportunity to exhibit your skills at multimedia and television production." Sure. Email me your postal address. It has nothing to do with production, though. Just how public access is attempting to keep its spending secret, failing to involve the public and stuff like that. I'd love to some production for access, but finding the time is a major killer. Jerry

Jerry, >I'd love to some production for access, but finding the time is a major killer. That's the beauty of InfoChannel (IC). You can do content development from your studio or home with the IC Master software and transmit it via modem to the IC Player at the cable headend. In fact you can use multiple master systems to communicate to any number of player systems. Of course, the cable system is now using Scala MultiMedia, which is a subset of InfoChannel, which means that you will have to "sneaker" over there to do or fix anything.

Didn't realize it was quite that powerful. Sounds like a great opportunity for leased access, though.
