Ben: I believe you. I must be dumb!!!. Does your mother's modem TR (Terminal Ready) light comes on after you turn on the modem ? Also, do the lights MR (Modem Ready) and HS (High Speed) turn off if you turn the modem off ?. Mine do stay on!.
