I have a friend who is interested in buying an Amiga and we wanted to know
if an MultiSynch monitor could be used by the Amiga 500? Anybody know anything
out there?

IF the multi-sync can take normal NTSC RGB Analog input…then yes it
can be used with the Amiga.

I don't know anyone personaly using one…but that doesn't mean they
can't be used. In fact, if it will accept normal NTSC standard RGB Analog
input…then yes, it can be used.

Why would anyone want to use a multisync? The Amiga has straight 15.75 khz
horizonal scan rate signals, right?
Let's let my ignorance show – the max res is 640X400 interlaced, right?
And yes, the mytisync will work.

Ah…why would anyone want to use a multi-sync monitor…several
possibilities there:
1. They already own one
2. They think they may have other uses for it
3. They want one anyway
4. They are going to buy Microway's (I think that's who it is) de-lacer
that will require the higher sync rates for non-interlaced video.
5. Because it's there <grin>

Gotcha – just hoped that people didn't think they _needed_ one! The "de-lacer"
is a neat idea though.

Hi, Ken.
It should work if the monitor will lock up at regular TV (NTSC) rate of
15750 Hz. Most do, I believe. You may have to rig up an actual connector for it
depending on what connectors the Multisync has. I take it he already has one?
