The "sawing off" seems like the way to go. I am glad to see you here. Here is
something for you to read….tell me if anyone has mentioned this to you…
I just purchased my A500 and became a paid member of a recognized Amiga user
group that I had been in touch with on and off for the past year. At the
meeting tonight I found out about software package offers that was been
extended by Commodore to user group members.
Does anyone have any official information on whether or not I am eligible for
this?

Rex, if you're a paid member then you are eligible. The offer is that for $199
you can get DPaint II, Pagesetter, Textcraft Plus, Marble Madness, Aegis
Animator and a 500XJ joystick. (around $750 worth of stuff). For $399 they
have a package that includes WordPerfect, Pagesetter Deluxe, Maxiplan 500,
DIGA!, Superbase Personal, CLImate, and Deluxe Video. Not a bad deal huh!
I don't know the specific person at CBM/West Chester that you should call, but
I'm sure someone else here does.

Marlene, the first package deal you mentioned is $99 and has a retail value of
circa $599 and the second package is available for $199 and has a retail value
of circa $1199.
