Can someone give me a short example of how to use the resident command (1.3) to
make cli commands resident? So far, I can get the commands so they list when I
type "resident" with no arguments, but the system still requests that I insert
the WB disk when I issue the commands.

If the commands list when you type RESIDENT, then you are using resident
correctly. Resident commands only work from the SHELL, not from the CLI. If
you try running commands from the CLI, it will search your PATH. Another
possibility is that resident does not load a command until after it is invoked
once. I'm not sure about that, though. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. My problem was that I'm using the CLI. I DL'ed ARP, so
now I'm using its shell instead, w/no problem.

In addition to what Mike told you (or maybe confirmation), I am pretty sure
that resident will allow either 'loading of the program always' or loading only
when called the first time. I am not positive about this since I use WShell
and its resident command but think that the CBM version is similar in that
regard.
