Though I've had my Amiga for a while, I haven't needed to get a file from here
with the .ZOO extension, until today. Well, I'm a little embarrassed to admit,
but I don't know how to use these (ARCing is all I've done so far). So, what do
I do? Thanks in advance, John B.

ZOO is very similar to ARC. You can get a copy of it from lib 4 of
AmigaTech. Then all you have to do is type: ZOO x// filename.zoo. The docs
for ZOO are also in AmigaTech. If you'd prefer, you can look at the tutorial
of ARC, ZOO, LHARC, and WARP….it's a program ARCHelp (ARCHLP.EXE in library 1
of AmigaTech).

ZOO is very similar to ARC. It is located in LIB 4 of the AmigaTech forum. The
command to unZOO a file is "ZOO x// <filename>.ZOO".
There are also other archival formats in use currently (WRP and LZH). You
might want to look at ARCHLP.EXE, currently in LIB 1 of AmigaTech. It contains
a good description of the various archival programs and how to use them.

You need ZOO201.ARC from AmigaTech Lib4 (if you don't already have it). Put
ZOO in your c: directory, and then use it just like ARC – except that when you
type
ZOO x// filename – be SURE to put those diagonals aster the x.
Without those diagonals, ZOO doesn't keep the directories straight for you.
Look in AmigaTech, Lib1, for ARCHLP.EXE if you would like a tutorial on ALL of
the archiving methods used here. It is new, an interactive tutorial that
should be VERY helpful to you.
