#PP Upgrade
6 messages in this thread
Rocco, I got through (eventually) to Gold Disk. The upgrade policy is as
follows: $150 plus the original cover of your DTP. By the way, I was told this
is the upgrade procedure for anyone with any DTP.

That's right; I called having PageSetter and was told to send in the manual
cover and $150. I did and was told a 3-4 week wait for delivery was to be
expected. That's for everyone, regardless of payment. I am EAGERLY awaiting
delivery…

Rick, Dont't hold your breath. I sent for my trade-in some time ago. Word is
Gold Disk did not meet their own release date. Anyhow the program is not
available as yet. Might ask them here when it is going to be released. I am
also interested in their spreadsheet which is suspose to be able to save graphs
in a format which will allow you to print them as a structured graph (like the
fonts). It too is behind schedule. I just bought Desktop Budget and I am
EXTREMELY disappointed. GURU'd 3 times during their own tutorial. I am going
to leave them a note about it and see if they have released an upgrade or
something.
Good Luck with PP1.3 when you get it,

Rob, I called them about the spreadsheet. The person I talked to said that it
cannot import Lotus and wasn't sure if it imported any other file format. If
that's so, it better be a GREAT spreadsheet all by itself. Rob
Rob, Its charts are suppose to be imported into Desktop Publishing programs in
a "structured" format for graphs without jaggies. This will be a great feature
for DTPers. But if it does not import any other file formats it will mean a
lot of work to transfer my stuff over to it. They had indeed better make it a
great spreadsheet.

Rob,
Thank you for the information. I just got a upgrade memo from Gold
Disk telling me that as a Pagesetter owner I could call for my upgrade for
$150.00 I just did it today. Thanks for the information.
