Cordless mouse

Yesterday UPS delivered a package to me from Practical Solutions. I opened up the box and there was their "cordless" infra-red mouse. I "installed" it — not much to install, just plug the base unit into the mouse port. The base unit has a normal mouse-type cord on it so it can be positioned on the other side of the keyboard for lefties. The mouse itself is a very sleek 3 button mouse (with ball roller). It is roughly the same size as the Amiga mouse, a bit narrower and a less tall. It's much more curved (aerodynamic?) than the Amiga mouse. The mouse itself is powered by 2 AAA batteries. The mouse turns itself off after 10 minutes of non-use to conserve the batteries. There is a button on the side which turns the mouse back on (ok, so it's a 4 button mouse). After about 12 hours of use, I like this thing. It has a different feel. I'm not sure if it's more or less sensitive to movement than the original mouse. It's just, well, different. If anyone has questions about it from a users standpoint just yell.

Glad that you like it Steve! It does grow on you, after awhile you'll never go back to the Amiga one. Mark

Greg, I got a review unit (for Transactor). They are supposed to be in general availability in November.
