Has the problem been fixed regarding using the new vd0 on an Amiga 500 with c0000000 memory? The older version works fine (2.2 I think?) but doesn't cleanup often enough and I have to constantly use CleanRamDisk. later!

Sorry Fred, but we're not really supporting that ram disk software anymore. We couldn't if we wanted to. I suspect that whatever problem you are referring to can be solved by other's here on CIS or by someone at your local user group. pk

I don't think there is a 500 user that has gotten it to work! Ever since the new version came out I posted msgs here and on Genie }iand not one person said the new version works on their Amiga 500}i~r! }ixD}iIf it will not work on a 500 with C0000000 memory then the file description here in the library should state that! later!

Fred, I also LEARNED the HARD WAY that the new thing didnt work with my 500, but how DO you tell if your 500 is ????MEMORY?? Also, I have now used the OLD ram disk, and it seems to work fine! But I have a QUESTION, how often does the RAM disk CLEAN UP?? and can you get yours to survive a WARMBOOT?? I keep loosing mine! Greg 71456,702

Greg: You have to remount and cd to the vd0: on the warm boot for it to show. (The files are still in it.) I thought I was losing it, too, until I realized that the startup-sequence I had in my RAD: for warm booting didn't have the mount vd0: and cd vd0: lines in them. Ray Lewis
