Imagine version 0.9 hass arrived in Dayton OH and looks great! (Well,
actually my friend got it; I hope mine arrives tomorrow!) I went over to
looks at it, and spent a little time playing with it: it's much different
than TS (as we expected). The fixes that will bring it up to 1.0 are
promised "in a few weeks".
Further impressions are unfair at this point, since I've spent so little
time with it.

Well, I've been playing with it as much as I can this week(if I'm late to
work another day I don't know what will happen). I put myself in the
intermediate class as far as 3D design/rendering goes. I've only just
begone (sp) to dig into the features of Imagine. The Tutorial on disk(text
file) was pretty interesting and gave me a good feel for the program.
Already though I've been able to do things that I pulled my hair out trying
to figure out in TS(fighting with the interface). Haven't noticed any bugs
either. It's run smooth without any Gurus. I'm looking forward to 1.0 and
the tutorial/users guide that is promised. The Reference Manual is pretty
good, but something to give me a good example of how some of the advanced
stuff works would be great.
