Bill,
What I've found so far is that you MUST execute the path DHx:lc/c add in
the startup-sequence. Then I have a little iconx script which does the
assigns, cd's to lc/c and calls lse. Then I select Open New File and at the
prompt, key in shft-left alt-r to pop up Khalid's File Requester. I then
select the file, closing the requester and hit sft-left alt-s and it copies
the desired file onto the prompt line. I hit return and start to edit away.
It seems that after the initial assigns, if you always call the lse from
lc/c that things are ok. If you use the lse icon required in ond of the
SASCSETUP created directories it complains about not finding the data file
or the msg file eventhough they are on the path.

Once I put the "path lc: add" in my startup-sequence BEFORE loadwb, the LSE
icon started working correctly (previously I was doing the path in my
shell-startup, but I can't remember why I put it there). I started using
the icon environment on a real project tonight, and it's working pretty
nicely.
