ATonce
8 messages in this thread
I've installed my ATonce board in an Amiga 500 rev 6A motherboard, and it
appears to be functioning okay. However, I've had difficulty getting the
ATonce to recognized the FDISK command (MS-DOS) when attempting to set-up a
partition on my hard disk (GVP Series II 80MB w/ 4 MB ram.)
Does anybody out there in A500 land have a clue as to what I should do
next? If so, please give me a shout!
Thanks for the help, in advance :-<

I have the same problem with my ATonce in my 2000. I use an AdIDE
interface (this is possible because the ATonce goes in a zorro slot, not in
the 68000 socket). I have tried to contact vortex with no luck. I suppose
I will try again tomorrow. Leave me eplex and I will let you know the
result.

Lorenz, I am really interested in how your ATonce is working. I was
thinking of getting one. I have a similar set-up as you. Drop me a line at
74116,2212 or reply to this. Thanks…..Kirk
Kirk,
FYI, I am running an ATonce in a 2000 with 1 meg chip, 2 meg 16 bit on
SupraRAM, and 1 meg 32 Bit on GVP. If you have any questions, eplex or
rely here.

Eric, you mention that you are running Atonce. Are you having any
harddrive problems? I heard that was the problem with atonce. Also
their tech support is not USA based. Is this true? I anxiously await your
reply. Kirk.
Yes, I am having problems getting ATonce (in a 2000) to recognize my ICD
AdIDE. I do not know where VORTEX has their support based from, either
stateside or international, because I have been unable to contact them.

Kirk,
Am waiting for info from Vortex, just as Eric is. I can use it without
problems if running from floppies only; however, accessing use of the
harddisk is another story.
Thus far, I've really not made any productive use of the ATonce, am waiting
for tech support. I have successfully loaded Mathblaster Plus (a childrens
math tutor/game) and Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing… but I am sooo spoiled
that using floppies is just too slow for me.
I would recommend waiting and watching this thread to see what kind of tech
support I receive from Vortex (the manufacturer.) Hopefully, they will
stand behind their product :-<

Lorenz, thanks for your reply. Do you have a 500? I have a 500 and I was
curious if others have had the same problems you have experienced.
Floppies are definitely OUT! Anyway keep in touch on the tech support
issue. Email me. Thanks again….Kirk
