#2.0 RKM's
11 messages in this thread
Just wanted to let some of you know that when I dropped by my local Amiga
dealer (160 miles), they had the 2.0 RKM's, at least the Hardware and
AutoDocs/Includes. Does anyone know if the 2.0 Library/Devices has been
released yet? Funny that the Technical DOC's have been released, but no
sign of 2.0 Enhancer packages!

Odd, anyway. It sure isn't funny. :^(

Where is this Amiga dealer you visited?

Eric, the dealer is "Beyond Computing" in Spokane, Wa. I've heard that
other dealers are getting the 2.0 RKM's, so they should be showing up at a
dealer near you 8^)

The Barnes and Noble near my office (mid-town Manhattan) had that same
volume — just the AutoDocs (the volume I've been waiting for least!).
I might be wrong, but I have a feeling that the 2.0 Libraries/Devices
manual is going to be split into different manuals. Either that, or its
going to be one HUGE hunk of paper! "SAVE A TREE – DON'T BUY THE RKM" 8^)

Yes, according to the Hardware manual — it lists four other volumes in
the series on the back : the Style Guide, Autodocs & Includes, Libraries,
AND Devices. (the last two as separate volumes)

Hey, I picked up a "Amiga ROM Kernal Reference Manual – Includes and
Autodocs – Release 2" yesterday at book store. So *it* is avail now.
And on the back it does say that other volumes in the series will be the
Devices (one manual), Libraries (another manual), and Hardware (another
manual).

John, The 2.0 Includes and Autodocs have been available for quite a while
(6 weeks, at least). I don't know how long the 2.0 Hardware manual has
been available but my dealer has it in stock.

I thought they would probably split up the Libraries/Devices manual, too
much to put in one book. But we also have the pain of purchasing another 2
seperate manuals, and at the prices they charge the full set could empty
your wallet of around $150.
