Does anyone out there have a Klingon Bird of Prey model?
Graeme.
Grant should be able to scare up a decent Bird of Prey.
Can you upload it to DL9 for us Grant?

Thanks! Are there lots of other trekky things warping through virtual
space?
Graeme.
Oh, there are a few version of the Enterprise that folks here have put
together… Phil DeGeorge has done some nice stuff… a few of his objects
are in some of the animations in the new Multimedia Explorer CD-ROM.

Hmmm, it seems obvious now that Trek should translate so well to this
forum, it's the same mindset!
Well we can't wait to see that Pird of Prey!
Graeme.
Have you contacted Grant about it?

Are there any .3DS files included on the MECD?

I left a message for Trilobyte about the Star Trek collection. After
reading it, do you have information that would allow us to distribute
objects which are copyrighted ? Would putting it in public domain erase
the rules ?
We are working on a collection of Public Domain objects. These will
include some of the objects from NASA, etc. If anyone has infomation or
objects which would be considered public domain they should give me a call.

John,
Very interesting to hear that you've got a Star Trek collection… I wonder
who you put that together for? I've got no idea about copyright issues
regarding this kind of thing. It's a very interesting question, however.
Your project to put together some public domain objects sounds fascinating.
Have you gotten a bunch of stuff from NASA and the military? What about
GIS data? How much of that stuff do you have?
– G
PS: JamieC showed me your Statue of Liberty model today… WOW! The detail
is fantastic. Couldn't see verticies anywhere, but the model size was very
manageable. GREAT JOB!

NASA called a few months ago and asked for some objects (human data, hands,
etc.) . They said they didn't have any money – imagine that !
They did say they had some objects they could give us that were public
domain. We haven't spent a lot of time on the Public Domain library but we
are collecting objects for it.

I have the back half of one done in Generic 3D. the guy was doing the
model in his spare time and ran out of spare time. It's everything from
the boom back, but the bulb at the front is missing.
Well if you send it to us, we'll finish it!
Graeme.
You will shortly have mail :>
We have completed most of the Star Trek collection. We cannot sell it yet.
Some objects are proprietary, obviously, and permission must be granted.
We also have a lot of objects that are not included on our price list that
were created for clients and remain confidential.
Give me a call – John Wright – 800-748-4170
Some friends and I were just perusing this thread when one of them (a
definite TREKKIE) commented that The Bird of Prey was actually a Romulan
vessel. I thought I might interject before he started loading up the
photon torpedoes for you guys.
