Help! I wanted to upload a VB program hoping to get some feedback from
forum members–but being new at this I wasn't sure how to go about it. So
last Thursday, I uploaded (at least Compuserve seemed to inhale it) the
file. In the intervening days, I've sent in 3 messages trying to touch
base with SYSOP, but I think I didn't do itToday zipped file showed up on
New Uploads, but:
1. I found my abstract was too wordy and got truncated. I wrote a
new, more cryptic one.
2. I have since fixed a VB timing thing by adding a DOEVENTS().
So, can I upload a new revision, to replace the previous one, or will that
cause confusion? Can anyone advise.

You might ask Eric Landes (76701,76), he's the MS Section Leader in these
parts. I think the SYSOP died or something; nobody's heard from him in
a long time (he doesn't return messages or phone calls anyway, so you're
wasting your time addressing anything to him) and the Libs have been f***ed
up for three weeks now. Sorry; I pay good money to be here too!

Thanks for the advice. I was about to try a note in a bottle. But I do
recall seeing Eric's name on here. The trouble is, there are so many
*REGULARS* on here, you don't know who is who. Thanks.

Since you uploaded the original file, you can delete it. However, if you
delete a file, either upload your replacement with a different filename or
wait a day or two before re-uploading. I've lost several files over on
WINADV when trying to update a file.
