James Bell Jr, I'd first like to thank you and all who responded to my request, they were very much appreciated. James, your idea sounds interesting, (and somewhat inexpensive?) This may be the route we want to take. Since you've done some work in this area, perhaps you suggest some places to purchase the video equiptment you spoke of, maybe even second hand? ( Hi-8 Sony CCD-V5000, Sony EV-S7000, Sony XV-D1000(video switch/mixer) ). Thanks, DJM

I would try calling the following mail-order companies… Ron Cwik (sounds like Swick) at Video Snapshots (708) 213-2227 ComputAbility (800) 554-9954 Camera World (800) 729-8937 (Gil or Bruce) B&H Photo in NYC (800) 947-9929 and any local higher-end video stores. (NOT Silo and those stores). The mail order places will give you better prices. Price each item at each location and do some comparisons. (Please let any mail order companies know that you have been "talking" with me) Also, the Sony CCD-V5000 is a discontinued model. I'd recommend that you get a CCD-VX3 (if your budget will allow) or a CCD-TR700 (less expensive and still a great camera). Hope this helps… James Bell Jr. — Multimedia Contributor – CompuServe
