AAARRRGGHH!! You beat me to the Infocoms! And I thought I could finally
get them in Amiga format! (I bought several Infocoms in Atari 8-bit and ST
format, hoping to trade them in, but alas Infocom stopped their "upgrade
your games when you upgrade your machine" $5 policy years ago)
Does anyone else have Infocoms, with all the original goodies, in Amiga
format?

format, especially A Mind Forever Voyaging. Anybody have a closetful
of old classics?
Actually, he didn't accept my bid. Scoffed in fact. Send him a bid if you
wish. I won't get around to playing them 'til I retire.
Paul, you take it upon yourself to assume and then announce that I am
auctioning that software. "Bidding" is an entirely inappropriate term
here. I did not even use the phrase "…or best offer" nor do I think
that $5.00 per title for those older infocom games, complete as they are,
is a figure which even deserves haggeling.
I didn't scoff at your offer, I simply didn't take you up on it. I think
it inappropriate for you to try and encourage others to engage in the same
bargaining tactics which did not work out for you.
Lastly, I'm not opposed to offering some sort of discount to someone who
orders a large number of things. But for the 13 titles you named, I think
that a disount from $111 to $71 was a bit much.
Allen, I'm sorry if I offended you. I tend to think of exchanges here as
being rather lighthearted. I'd no intention of causing you to be inundated
with a gross of messages with ridiculous offers, but the gent I replied to
seemed to be in the market and your reply to me seemed to indicate you
would rather get more than I offered but you might consider my offer if
nothing better came along. I don't think your original offer said FIRM
either.
Anyhow, you are entitled to ask whatever you want for your wares. Sorry if
I've caused you trouble. As my dad taught me, any bargaining session can
end amicably with "You have your wares, I have my money." Best of luck.
