I have a fairly math intensive program written in AmigaBasic that I would like to have run faster. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to compile it for me? Chris Heismann 73457,3276

Chris, If it will run through HiSoft, I would compile it for you. My version of HiSoft is not the latest, however. I think I only got one update since the original. Betty

Chris, if you want I could compile it for you. I have the latest version of Hisoft Basic and the AC/Basic compilers. If you are interested, just upload the file via the Email upload feature, and I'll send the compiled version back the same way. John – K7KB (via Whap!)

I have both the AC/Basic compiler and the Hi-Soft compiler and would be willing to compile it for you. All you have to do is get it to me. You could upload it here or at my local board, FAUG-BBS, at 415-595-2479. If you're interested, leave me E-mail here and maybe we can arrange something. Don

Don, I've tried getting on your board before with no luck. What are your areas of interest or focus? I'm a local (sorta, Rohnert Park), met you somewhere, can't remember where though. Did I ever get you out of a stuck elevator? Oh well, nice to here from you again 🙂 Paul –pt–not seattle– 😉

Paul, It's not <my> board. I just frequent it a lot. The sysop's name is Rich Bremer; he lives in Belmont. I live in San Mateo, so it's a local call for me. There's no mystery to getting on the board; just dial the number and go through the usual sign-on procedure. It's a pretty lively board; a lot of the local Amiga gurus from Silicon Valley are on a lot and you can usually get an answer to the most arcane question pretty quickly. There's a huge software library available also. Hope to hear from you there. Don

P.S. You must have me confused with someone else. I don't think we've ever met and I haven't been rescued from an elevator recently (or ever, at least that I can remember). Don

Chris, I could compile it in F-Basic, it would probably require extensive modification though…F-Basic is the fastest…Let me know how many lines it is and how I can help… Larry – via Whap!
