Stopped A2000 Clock

Help! My Amiga 2000 has lost the ability to tell time.
The hardware clock is working perfectly, but when I put a clock up on the
screen, the second hand remains motionless. For my machine, time is not
passing at all.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Try executing a
SetClock RESET
command at a shell. (Note that there was a problem with the original WB1.3
SetClock command. WB 1.3.2 or greater is OK, as is WB1.2 if you've got
it.)

Humm…one of several things. The tick signal is normally supplied
by the power supply (it's simply a low voltage 60Hz signal derived from the
power line frequency). There's a jumper inside where you can switch it to
get the tick signal from the video vertical signal.
IF that doesn't work (and to be honest…I doubt it will), then
your timer chip (one of the 8520's) is more than likely shot.
If that does work…then you've got a problem with your power
supply.

Sounds to me like you zapped one of the 8520s.
I had a problem with the clock on my 2000 and got it started with a program
I downloaded for CIS. I don't remember the name but it's called startclock
or something. Anybody ever hear of this file?
