I recently installed PD (on a DAK caddyless drive) on my 386/20 with a
Trident SVGA. The program runs, but the screen shows only the cursor
against a black background – but the program is operational. To view the
screen, I need to modify the screen display to simulate Hercules
monochrome. What's up? How do I get around this problem?

Phil,
Virtually every problem call we get about regarding graphics (on any
program) concerns a Trident card. But, Phonedisc is just a text-based
application, so I really surprised you're having any problem. Here are a
couple of things to check:
Be sure you don't have the card locked into a specific graphics mode (there
are usually utilities included that will do this).
Don't run programs that grab extra video ram for use by your system.
Try removing any special Trident drivers just to see if this resolves the
problem.
