I have a friend who has a MAC Hydra. He needs to add a CD-ROM so he can
read in clip art for an advertising flyer he publishes. I know nothing
about MACs so could some suggest a CD-ROM that works with a MAC and a
vendor who sells it?
What is a MAC Hydra? I assume it is a Quadra. For an Apple Macintosh you
need a SCSI CD-ROM drive. NEC-74/84 is a good one, Sony 541 is another.
Toshiba and Hitachi all make SCSI CD-ROM drives.
Unless you need one (CD-ROM drive) right away I would suggest that you wait
until after Comdex (Nov 16-20) to see what new developments come out.
Since you friend publishes and advertising flyer he might be interested in
Photo CD support in the future.
