#XM 3301 & Photo CD ??
8 messages in this thread
Hi there..
Is the Toshiba XM-3301B drive capable of reading Kodak's Photo CDs? Is it
XA compatible? And if so do I need any special drivers in order for the
drive to read Photo CDs?
Thanks
Costas
If you don't get your response here, you can try to call the Kodak
Information Center (KIC) at 800-242-2424, ext. 53. If you are not in the
United States, you will have to reach KIC through the Kodak Switchboard in
Rochester at 7116-724-4000. KIC has a database of compatible CD-ROM
drives.

Paul,
Thanks….but where is Rochester? In US, or UK?

Aha. Thanks Paul.

I have a XM-3301 and it will read photo CD (single session). You probably
will need updated drivers. Toshiba itself will have new drivers in a few
weeks and hope to have a rom update to enable multi session a month after
that. I just received new drivers from Future domain (my scsi adapter)
which was supposed to read Photo CD disks. I have yet to be able to do so
and am not quite sure where the problem lies.

Where do you get in touch with them? I'm in the same situation.

If nothing works, try the CorelSCSI software. It does support the XM3301 in
single session. I will work with your SCSI card if it is ASPI compatible.
If you use an Adaptec controller, you can connect the CD to the Adaptec and
save space in your PC.
