#Topas/3ds Help!
7 messages in this thread
Phil/ Yost Group/ Kevin/ All,
I hope that someone read this message (I think that I can kill or sell my
body for some answers <g>)
I'm looking for some detailed information comparing 3ds with Topas (I'm
writing an article about 3ds). We asked Techex Spain for a copy of Topas
but they told us that send all the program modules is very dificult at this
time, and we have to wait two weeks for the whole copy. I need some
information quickly. I read a lot of messages about this matter but I'm
looking for a summary file…probably a conference transcription? Please,
help!
Thanks in advance, Ana Gervas
ps.I'm looking for some 3d animation Silicon Graphics based programs too.
TIA S3
Sorry, Ana. I know very little about Topas. But surely someone else here
can fill in some of the information about it and how it compares to 3DS.
Ana,
Sorry, I'm not buying. I do have some comparative info that could
go by fax (I'd need country code and such), but too much to type in.

Well, I don't know, Ana. Are you going to be at SIGGRAPH this year? (Just
kidding <grin>) We have both packages in house and can probably furnish you
with some useful info, but it would take too long to type in. If you are
interested (no need to strike those serious-sounding deals, but thanks for
the thought), give us a call at (214) 368-8987.

Ken,
Regarding Siggraph…probably next year. I'm planning to go to the states
next summer (to Florida) for 3 or 4 years, so if I have time, I will visit
Siggraph too (and I hope that I'll have enough time in three years).
I think that Kevin will send me a fax with all the info, but if I have more
questions, I will ask you.
Thanks, Ana
ps.Talking about "killing and selling bodies", well, this is a common
expresion here in Spain (mataria por esto o venderia mi cuerpo o mi alma).
Sorry if I have hurt the forum sensibility. Best wishes, Ana.
Ana,
Faxed yesterday, OCT. 1.
