Does anybody have a good technique for creating a chome letters. I ve used some of the chrome gifmaps but havnt got a good result. I tried creating some images in anipro but still did not get any acceptable results. It seems that the face of the letters do not refect. I guess i could use the auto reflect but that sure would take some time, Looking for a short cut. any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rock

Rock, the best way to get chome letters is to put an auto-reflect (cubic) material on the letters (with a little bit of blur). Then, make an object for the letters to reflect that's texture-mapped with the bitmap you want to use for the reflection map. This "reflection object" can even be in front of the camera, since the surface normals ought to be pointing away from the camera (and towards the reflecting object). And note that you should ALWAYS use a 24-bit reflection map for best results. – G

Thanks I will giver it a try, [A If i put it in front of the camera it shows. Is that because its a mapped images on an object. Can you map an image on an object so that only one side will show? Rock

If it's a one-sided material, the camera can't see it if the camera is behind it. – G
