I need the new version (2.2?) of the MSCDEX.EXE Hitachi Device Driver to
work with MS-DOS 5.0. I have an AMDEK LASERDEK 2000 CDROM which worked fine
until I upgraded to DOS 5! I tried SETVER.EXE; I get an "Incorrect DOS
Version" message.

Try the standard Microsoft MSCDEX.EXE v2.21. It's available in the
Microsoft Software Library (GO MSL-1) as CDEXT.EXE. It works fine with
MS-DOS 5.0 and SETVER.EXE isn't needed.
