Is there a file on your ImageMaster disks describing the improvements done
between updates? We now have version 9.13, 9.15 and 9.16 on our shelves
but we do not know what is the difference between them! We also realised
that version 9.16 file size is about 1.2MB.. twice as big as the 9.15
version!!!
You bet. The file is called "i_addendum". Or, in later releases, it's in
"ia.lzh", which can be installed or printed using the Installer scripts
supplied with the product.
The 9.15 version was compressed with a run-time decompressor. Later
versions are just lharced – they are reasonably close in size.

Ben, Does ImageMaster support the creation of HAM8 animations yet? Have you
played with animation yet on the 4000? At what resolution does Ham8
animation speed fall below 24fps? Looking forward to the many future
improvements on the way. Really love getting upgrades every month! Regards,
Dan
Imagemaster 9.21, due to ship this week, has complete support for AGA
display and rendering. Animation is an issue we've notyet looked into,
although that will happen early this week – there is an issue here,
specifically the precision of color registers, that I *believe* no anim
player has addressed as of this time. Possibly the new AmigaVision does (I
hope so!) but we don't have that here.
You see, although the bitplane data is the same, just a little more than
before, the color registers must be 24-bit accurate and there is a new
function call in the operating system for setting them – no software that
wasn't written with 3.0 specifically in mind will support this. That means
that although an anim could be built, and correctly, too, there are no
players yet.
HAM8 animation speed should be 24 fps or better. CBM had said 30 fps was
attainable, and I think that may be correct – depends on the resolution.,
You realize that you can have HAM8 in 320×200 – which is 64k per screen,
30 fps is 1.9 mb/second, which should be doable with no sweat – althoug I
AM guessing.
Glad you like the upgrade program – next upgrade is nearly here. :^)
