#Epson EX800 colour print
5 messages in this thread
Does anyone know the best way to drive an Epson EX800 colour printer, or
have a good driver for it? I am using workbench 1.3.
I'm new to Compuserve – I hope this goes to the right place!
Cheers!
Christian:
Welcome to the AmigaForums! You found the right place to post your
question. I'm not familiar with the EX800 printer, but maybe someone
elsewho knows which driver to use will jump in and answer.
Christian,
I'm not familiar with the particular printer, but, chances are that it'll
work with the EpsonX driver if it's a 9-pin printer (or the EpsonQ driver
if it's a 24-pin printer.)
There are several driver files in the Printer Drivers library with the
keyword Epson. You might also want to read the descriptions for those,
and see if any one of those might meet your needs. (You printer's manual
might list another printer that the EX800 emulates.)
Hope this helps, 8)

Christian,
I used to use an EX800 with my Amiga. The driver that I used was the
standard EpsonX driver supplied by Commodore. Note that I did not use the
colo(u)r option of the printer very much, because I was never impressed
with the quality of the images.
Hope this helps….

Christian,
The EpsonX[CBM_MPS1250] driver on the 1.3 workbench will support your
printer all the way up to the 240 X 216 resolution. In order to access the
color graphics capabilities of the printer set the Color option in the
graphics 1 section of Preferences.
You should note that using higher densities with color will tend to cause
the yellow section of the ribbon to load up with the other colors as it is
a multi pass operation.
Hope this helps
