If you could have any CD-ROM you wanted, and cost was NOT a problem, what would you order. This is for a MS-DOS machine. Thanks, Brent

"If you could have any CD-ROM you wanted." Are you talking about the drives or the discs themselves?

I guess the question was a little too broad. Just looking for the drive at this point in time. (Although favorite titles would also be interesting) Thanks Brent

For **maximum** flexibility I would want to have an XA-compatible, multisession drive, which should be available (according to vendors claims, anyway) later this year, perhaps as soon as COMDEX. This would give you access to both MPC titles and Photo-CD. Barring that, I would like a 2x-speed drive with lots of cache, like the NEC 74/84, or Pioneer. Come to think of it, Pioneer's 6-disc changer would be fun too! Glad you asked, I've still got time to adjust my Christmas list!

NEC-74 is my personal favorite. Unless you have an urgent need wait until after Comdex.
