Ihave the Miro card. Im planning to buy a desktop NTSC scan convertor so i can to right from my VGA to VHS tape which the Miro can't do. Can you tell me anything about what you have found to be an optimal data rate setting and MJPEG quality setting with the Miro?

Tilford, I don't set a data rate, some would advise against this, but the quality of my capture has been great. Out of 6200 frames it dropped only 19!!!! I can ive with this and te quality of the playback. As far as scan converters, I use theAITech Multipro CTV. I author multimedia on director, strictly corporate, and often they want want it on tape also, the AITech works fine it's not great but at $225.00, I can't complain.( and neither have my clients) Oh yeah, I set compression to 90% no filter, 16 bit 22khz mono. Good Luck! John
