Does anyone know where I can find Chase Technologies for info on Soft-VTR?
Does anyone out here have any comments on it from expereince? What VTRs
work best with it? Is it really frame-accurate or is that just wishful
thinking – er – marketing?
Thanks…. Ed Lyons
Ed:
I have a friend with a Soft VTR and a lot of problems with it. Don't know
how many are his or Soft VTR's, but he does excellent work otherwise.
Have you checked out DiaQuest Software? I can vouch for its reliability
with the Sony LaserDisc CRV system. No glitches, just a little slow.

No hardware is required to control the CRV. It works great with RS-232
control only. You do need a sync generator, though. You could get a
Horita for under $400 or so, and they actually work! Much better than the
$3,000 or so you would have had to pay a year or so ago!!!
