Buyout News

I haven't been able to find ANY reliable news for almost a week now.
Does anyone know what's going on re:The Great Over-Long Buyout?
Dan Stets hasn't been at the last few conferences… Does anyone know
whether he'll be back giving us news again? Ditto for the often rumored
conferences with Alex Amor…
HELP!!! I need NEWS!!
Asha
I just called the Amiga World info number and as of Jan 3, 1995 CEI
and former CBM UK were waiting ti see which bid was going to go. CEI
had an expiration date of Dec 30, 94 but decided to wait it out for a
bit longer. But they expect an answer soon. In other words they
don't know.

Sorry if I seem to have abandoned you. I didn't know you guys
were getting together over the holidays. I was on the road. I haven't heard a
peep either. I checked with Alex right before the holidays and he said he
didn't expect anything until after the holidays. Like this week. I'll give it
a shot today. I have been tied up with a new machine at work, trying to solve
its floating point problems.

Dan,
I guess we probably should have known better than to think that
anything would happen over the holidays but we're a rather driven bunch…:)
Rumor has it that the auction is in progress now and that something should
actually HAPPEN soon (this from Amiga World's Hotline). I sincerely hope this
is true!
Will you be at the conference this Sunday?
Sorry to hear you're having computer problems. Hopefully all will be
fine soon….:)
Hope to "see" you Sunday! 🙂
Take Care!

Not serious computer problems. At home, I screwed up my operating
system and had to reinstall it. Stupid, but it finally forced me to get in
there and figure out how it works. At work, I got a new Pentium machine which
is fun, though I haven't tried any complex math problems. Unfortunately, I
will not be around the next two sundays. We are heading to Arizona,
combination vacation and reunion with some journalism buddies.
I have no new news on the situation, sorry to say. Talk to you soon.

Dan,
Glad you're computer is coming together. I remember the first few
times I had to deal with OS problems (startup-sequences, configs, etc.). It
gets easier with time…:)
Sorry to hear you won't be around for the next few weeks, but at leas
you'll be somewhere warm!
Maybe it'll all be completed by the time you're back…!! (fingers
crossed)
Later,
Asha
