#EMPLANT: Still Vapor

Howdy…
Some of you asked that I post status reports about the Emplant. It was
supposed to be here today…and is not here. I will be calling UU to
pretty much cancel the order, since my patience is exhausted. Only the
package or a tracking number will satisfy me now.

Howdy…
Another report. I called UU today, and they told me the same thing as
last Tuesday…that it will ship on Friday. Of course, I was less than
pleased with this.
According to the woman on the phone, they are backordered to the tune
of 5000 boards (I find this *very* hard to believe). Also, she claims
that the software has gone through another revision, so they held some
orders back to ship with the improved software.
She told me that they are currently moving through the orders placed in
July…and I ordered August 4…so it should not be much longer.
I will wait another week. This had *best* be worth it, or I'm going to
be mighty pissed.
