Hello- Has anyone seen or tried the Sound Blaster 16? I read an article about it in PC MAG Oct. 27 issue, but have not been able to locate one in any mail order catalog (I checked the entire Computer Shopper). I tried the Creative Labs 800 number, but busy, busy, busy. Thanks to anyone with data- Joe p.s. – I'm wanting to use the card for 3D Studio / Animator Pro flics, and in the future, multi-media.

Sound Blaster 16: is that like the Sound Blaster Pro? I'm using one in my machine here, and have one in my machine at home. Very nice card for the price.

Phil- I think the Soundblaster Pro is an 8 bit card, while the Soundblaster 16 uses 16 bit technology. I read about it in the Oct. 27 issue of PC Mag. under "New and Improved". Do you use the Midi capabilities of the Pro? Also, have you used it to add sound tracks to your flics? Thanks for the response- Joe

<<Do you use the Midi capabilities of the Pro?>> Yep, sure do. <<Also, have you used it to add sound tracks to your flics?>> Yep, again. Works great. One of the more trouble free sound cards that I've played with.
