#Green screen crash?

What does it mean if a program crashes my system in this way:
My power light starts flashing and then a greenish screen appears then
disappears over and over again. I must turn off the computer via the
power switch to get it to reboot.
I have an Amiga 3000/16, 10 megs ram.

Do you have the 2.04 ROMs in the machine? Or are you still getting the
kickstart from the HD? Occasionally I trash enough of the machine that I
must intervene with the Vulcan Nerve Pinch, but rarely have to power off
then on. I _do_ seem to remember that happening more often earlier tho,
before 2.04 'stabilized'.
No I don't have the 2.04 ROMs in the machine. I'm getting the kickstart
from the HD.
It is just one program that I am beta testing that causes this problem
though.
A green screen? According to the information I have, a green screen means
that there is an error in Chip ram? What that could mean, might be the
Fat/Super Agnus chip has become partially unseated or the ram chips have
become unseated. You might try reseating them yourself or have your
dealer do it for you. If you do it yourself, be sure and ground yourself,
you don't want to zap any chips with static electricity.

Thanks, I'll try reseating them.
Oh – another sick daughter card. I have that as a problem, also. I have
not been able to trace it down to a specific thing on the daughter card
alas and alack. Just now it is working. It is sensitive to vibration and
lesser sensitive to heat. That is why I suspect a cracked trace or
something equally insidious.
