#arc and unarc

Help!!!…no matter what I try to do I can't seem to operate within the bounds of Arc (Unarc?)…I've tried..but my Amigo says it doesn't recognize the command. Please assist, I await almost patiently….almost. Thanks Vincent E. Lumbleau 72017,1563

Vincent, did you rename ARC.EXE to ARC and put it in your c directory on Workbench? Also, make sure the file you downloaded to deARC has a .ARC extender. CD to the disk and/or directory where the d/led file is and type ARC X filename — Let me know if this helps. Marlene

Vincent, Arc has to be in the c: directory of you boot disk, or in the same directory as the program you're unarcing. Yu must be 'aimed' at the proper directory by using the cd command. Either method works, but having arc in the c: directory is the handiest as it is then available at all times. Hope this helps, Doug p.s. You can copy it to ram: and then path ram: add.
