#How much do you think?
15 messages in this thread
Could I get some opinions about what I should ask for my 2000? I'm not
looking for offers, just an idea about what I can get for it.
A2000HD w/2.04
40 meg hard drive
1meg chip/2meg fast = 3 total
Flickerfixer
NEC multisync II
Supra 2400zi internal modem Thanks
Well, the 2000 with HD is worth about $700. The flickerfixer is maybe
another $50. The Multisync is worth about $150 (that's a guess, I don;t
know monitor prices real well). The internal modem is maybe $40. The
total would be $940. $1000 for the whole thing would be a reasonably fair
price, but wouldn't get you massive instant offers.
Robert,
Thanks for your reply. I'd agree with most of your prices but I would
have thought closer to $900 for a 2000 with HD. I seem to remember
seeing 2000's w/o HD going for about $700 just a month or so ago. Does
anyone else have an opinion? (I know opinions are one of two things that
everyone has) <g>
Lou
Lou… It is worth whatever someone else is willing to pay for it. (Bill
Clinton answer) <g>… seriously, I'd think that $900 for the computer and
maybe $100 for the flicker fixer… and maybe another $200 for the
monitor. The modem isn't worth a heck of a lot, IMO. What you can get for
the system will depend on how fast you want to sell it.
They would have, but the price cut on A3000s has really shot the market for
the low-end machines. A brand-new A3000 25-50 is 1499.
Lou,
You got some low estimates there. The flickerFixer is worth at least $100,
maybe $125. The Multisync, if it's in good condition, at least $200, $250
if it will sync down to 31.5KHz.
Thanks for the input. That brings me up to a range that's not as painfull.
I expect to take a beating on it since I've got over $2000 in it and prices
keep dropping lower and lower.
Denny,
"if it will sync down to 31.5KHz" ??? You mean 15.75KHz?

hey Lou,
I think you should give it me! <g>
Derek
Derekba,
I'll be glad to give it to you…for a price. <g> It's about time you
moved up isn't it? <nudge nudge>
Louba
Hey Lou,
G'notice your ppn and Derek's are one number a part? Now I wonder what are
the odds of that happening? Quite a coincidence huh? Hmmm…and both of
your last names start with the letter M. You weren't twins separated at
birth by any chance? <grin>
Chris
..and did you notice that there are 5 letters in his first name…and 5
letters in his last name? coincidence…??? I think NOT!
Lou,
I hope your not taking my comment too seriously! I did put in the <grin>
didn't I?

Chris
Of course not, Chris. I was smiling too. <g> <g>

In case you're really wondering, Derek and I have consecutive user ids
because we were both hired on the same day many moons ago here at
Compuserve.
Lou <G>
