Not really. I wasn't involved in the financial side of Altamira Software, so I don't really know where the money's flowing, but I know that it's not a joint venture between Autodesk and Altamira. – Jack

Page 220 of October 12, 93 pc magazine contains the following line "Altamira, a new venture funded by Autodesk and research computer scientist Dr. Alvy Ray Smith…….". J.F.

Jack wasn't 100% accurate, but he was close. Although Autodesk is one of a number of investors in Altamira, they are not the primary investor. The article in PC Magazine implies that there's a closer relationship there than there really is. – G
