After almost 2 years of promises from major publishers a book is finally been announced addressing advanced topics on 3D Studio. Because support could not be found among major publishers I personally funded and co-wrote Advanced Modeling and Rendering Techniques for 3D Studio(AMR). The book will be released Oct. 1, and advance orders will be taken immediately. This message is intended as a brief announcement of the book. Because our support staff is not large enough to handle calls regarding the book prior to its release, we have uploaded a text file entitled "AMR.txt" in Lib 9. Information on contacting myself, other authors and illustrators, and the development team who worked on the book is attached to the file mentioned as well as more information on the scope, size, and availability of the book. I will try to answer any specific questions you may have that are not covered in the press release if you address mail to me. My Compuserve number is 70761,3061. I log on at least once a day and promise to respond to all. Hope you all enjoy reading the book as much as we've enjoyed writing it! TP

I can't find that file (AMR.TXT) you said was uploaded — did it not get in or is it under a different name? And since it's now Oct. 1, is your book out already?

I've had problems uploading the file. I get a "Remote Library Full" message. I think its time for someone to do some cleanup in the Adesk libraries. Anyway, I put a message file up called "AMR.txt & Raytracer". It should be floating around close by. Talk at ya soon.
