Hi All, I'm in the New York City area and have been finding it difficult locating a dealer who has in stick the Amiga 2000. This has led me to believe that the machine may still be in short supply. Is this true (i.e. Amiga 2000 is not yet widely available)?… .. Also, what about Amiga 2000 monitor (is the 2002 or the 1080 or some other model number the correct CRT to purchase with the machine; what is the best Commodore Amiga monitor to purchase when buying 2000 CPU — I have been a Macintosh user for two years and have never had to face the problem of buying un-bundled/separate components). If someone knows the name of a reputable dealer in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut tri-state area I would be most grateful to hear about 'em (as I stated earlier I'm having trouble locating an Amiga 2000 dealer — lots of model 500's but no 2000's). Thanks in advance, –Joe Rosen (CID #: 74027,663)

Joe – try either J&R Music or Leighs Computers in NYC – J&R would be the most likely to have a good supply of 2000's as they are probably the largest Amiga dealer in this area. Sorry, I don't have either address but Leighs is in the East 80's and there are a few J&R's. The one I used to go to was on Broadway in the Wall Street area. The 1080 and the 2002 are basically the same monitor – the 1080 has more of a matte finish then the 2002. I have both and they're fine. Marlene

Marlene, Thanks for the info… I'll check the Park Row (Wall Street area) J&R Music World for in-stock model 2000's… –Joe

Go to camera world on bdy around 32nd street – they do seem to carry some (I got mine there) and options, and they may have the best price. Ron

Joe: I would think that you could find a dealer in your area. I know that several of the people on this forum are from the area you mentioned. If all else fails, I can recommend a dealer in Raleigh, North Carolina. I don't think he would mind doing a little 'mail-order' type business. I bought my Ami 2000 from him after I moved to San Diego, Cal. If you are interested, drop me a note. 73, bill
